Declaring New Life in Christ, No Turning Back!
Summer is baptism season at Immanuel, and we praise God for a bountiful harvest of souls! Over the past weeks, we have witnessed lives transformed by the Gospel and boldly declaring their faith through baptism. It is a powerful symbol of dying to the old life and rising to walk in newness of life, as Romans 6:4 says:
“We were therefore buried with Him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.”
On July 20, three new believers were baptized at Immanuel Sagara in Shizuoka Ken.
This was followed on June 26 by the baptism of two ladies in Immanuel Ise, Mie Ken.
Then on August 2, we rejoiced as twelve more believers, including three Japanese, publicly professed their faith in an indoor church baptism in Nagoya, Aichi Ken.

And it’s not over yet! Another baptism is scheduled in Gifu Prefecture on August 15.
Each baptism is a public declaration of faith in Jesus Christ, a surrender to His lordship, and a commitment to live a new life with no turning back. These moments are not only personal milestones but also a reality of our church’s vision: “Making Christlike disciples today who will make Christlike disciples tomorrow.” This is the Great Commission in action.
